Dr. Rana specializes in the field of Parkinson’s disease and Movement disorders. He is certified by the Medical Council of Canada and is a fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (F.R.C.P.C.). After completing his neurology residency training, Dr. Rana then completed his clinical fellowship in Parkinson’s disease and Movement Disorders at the University of Ottawa, Canada. Dr. Rana has been trained with well-known neurologists like Arthur Walter among others.
Dr. Rana is a frequently invited speaker on Parkinson’s disease and Movement Disorders. He has been awarded with the Wayne- Hening Award by the International Restless Legs Syndrome Study Group. He was also awarded an honorary fellowship of the Royal College of Physicians (FRCP) of the United Kingdom. Dr. Rana is the founding editor and former editor- in-chief of the Journal of Parkinsonism and Restless Legs Syndrome and author of several books in the field of Neurology and Parkinson’s disease. He has published extensively about the Parkinson’s disease and is the member of the Movement Disorders Society, Canadian Neurological Sciences Federation, Ontario Medical Association and many other professional organizations. He has been acknowledged in WHO IS WHO in the world.
